Like, follow, or subscribe!

Hey guys, haven't posted here in over a year & its mostly because I do so many posts on a daily basis on facebook, that my blog has really taken a back seat. However, on facebook you can follow everything that I am up to with photography & video and either like one of my pages or "Subscribe" to my facebook page. I also tweet! Thanks for visiting the blog & if you would like to keep up with me check one of these pages out:

So as you can see, I haven't forgotten about making posts all together, I just don't blog here much anymore. I may start again sometime, but it will probably be on a different page.

Take care,

Music, Engagements, Beautiful day...

Ok so I'm currently digging Phoenix's latest Remix album... you should check it out! (for those of you that didn't notice the underlined word, click on the word "it") Just finished a nice little bike ride listening to these tracks the whole time, and what a beautiful San Diego day to ride!

I'm kind of into a lot of random music right now. If you are a local San Diego music artist and would like for some of your music to be featured in a film project I'm working on, I need lots of music choices for different projects, and would really love to only use local music! I mentioned this need on my other company's blog... SDACTIONMEDIA blog. Email me your demo or a link so I can check it out :o)

On another note I just finished an engagement session at Balboa Park with a really nice couple that will be getting married in July. Thanks Matt & Molly for a fun afternoon and for being so photogenic and easy-going... can't wait to shoot the wedding!

I love my cameras

Basically just made a post on the SD Action Media Blog about how much I love my camera body setup and just Canon in general. I downloaded the firmware update for my Canon 5d Mark II, and am just so stoked for doors that have been opened up with job opportunities because of these awesome cameras. I highly reccomend them, and would love to use them to capture some moments with you!

Who started the anti-button war???

Ok, so I LOVE my iphone... and I understand the advantages to the multiple levels of screens with a variety of button patterns and button sizes... BUT sometimes you just miss that feeling of physically actuating a button. The fact that you know you pressed on a button and it should start an immediate action of that buttons purpose/functionality. Gizmodo recently posted a short article on the application for a patent by Canon for the first touch screen DSLR.

http://gizmodo.com

This obviously will allow for a larger LCD on the camera, but I wonder what this will lead to? I mean first its the fact we've gotten rid of film and we use "D" SLRs, than we get rid of being a slave to the view finder and you can now use your LCD screen for "Liveview," now we are getting rid of buttons... will we eventually just have an oversized point-n-shoot? I mean we have to physically put on a lens, and physically turn them, and they're sooo stinkin' heavy :o)

Overall I am thrilled at the advancements in technology, and can't imagine how overwhelming this all is to our grandparents who have watched cars go from horse and buggy to Bugatti!!! from Wright Brothers to Space, and from classical music to Emo-metal-jazza-techno-core-tronica. Not necessarily complaining or praising... just in awe, and I hope that we don't get so far "Advanced" that we don't take the time to appreciate the little things in life, like the smell of rain, the oceans way of rolling in sets of waves, sunsets, the change of leaves in fall (if you live anywhere but SoCal LOL), snow, and as said in my last post, time with family.
